Steven Colbert to Auction of Signed Cast
Steven Colbert will be auctioning off a signed cast of his to benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund. Steven Colbert hurt himself while running around his studio before taping an episode. Go figure, that sounds like something that would happen to him. Always clowning around, but that’s why we like to watch his show, right?
Bids will be accepted until Sept. 3, with the winner to be announced the week of Sept. 10 on the “Report,” which airs at 11:30 p.m. EDT Monday through Thursday. Proceeds will go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, a charity that assists injured service members and their families.

30-3 in a baseball game? I remember those days..
Remember back in the little league days when there was always ONE team that would put a whoopin’ on just about any team they played? I know you’d like to forget it, but what the Texas Rangers did in the first game of a double-header, brought back some memories.
For the first time in about 110 years, a major league baseball team scored 30 runs in ONE game. The Rangers beat the Orioles 30-3. That was more runs than the Rangers scored in the previous NINE games.
“I knew we’d get the bats going, but I never expected anything like this,” Texas manager Ron Washington said. “When the faucet is on, you want it to stay on. You never want to cut it off.”
One grand slam and TWO batters with double homer games, shows that just about anything can happen and you will never know when it is going to happen. Sadly, though, these are the only games of baseball I enjoy watching
TaterMitts.com – what the hell?
“Just simply rub with a few simple strokes for a hassle free peeled potato”. Are you kidding me? Has anyone else seen this commercial?
Do you really think that these fancy gloves can peel your potato just by rubbing it? Who the hell ever has perfect potatoes? Every time I peel a potato I have to cut out the “eyes” and bad spots on just about every one. But this little clip makes it look so easy and really, for only $19.99 you are getting quite a deal!
If you own a pair of these fine gloves, please, let me know how well they work!
My iRobot Idea for PPP Blog Battle Royale
Well, I figured since I blog most of the week I might as well throw my idea, for the PPP Battle Royale contest, in the ring. My robot would be simple, or would it? I don’t know.
I would create, or have created, a robot that could sit on my couch and watch TV for me. I have NO time to do this and thought that my DVR system would help me with this, I was wrong. Even though the DVR system is kind of like a little robot in a box, recording all my shows and playing them back, I still have no time to watch them. Now that my DVR is full every other week and I have to delete half the content on the system, I figured maybe I would have a robot made that can watch the shows for me, then either tell me about them as I do other things, or we could create a module to mentally send the information to me through some kind of advanced osmosis.
That is my idea for the robot. It would look like Homer Simpson, because that would be funny as hell and I would market it to all the people who don’t have time to soak in the many types of information there is on television. That’s a lot of people, so the odds it sells is quite good. It would make my life incredibly easier in the fact that watching tv is another thing I wouldn’t have to do on a weekly basis and possibly leave me more time to blog about the things I love!
