Mountain Dew: The Official Drink of Bloggers Worldwide
LOL. Well it is for me at least. Since I have been blogging I have become seriously addicted to the drink. Mountain Dew tastes good to me and I really can’t find any other drink that will satisfy my thirst, besides warm water.
What do you guys think? Do you like Mountain Dew as much as I do? Has it become some kind of addiction for you? Why not take my quick pole and let others know what drink is addicting to you.

Try Google Trends to Fuel Your Blog
Can’t find anything to blog about? Still looking for the visitors you were sure you would get with your “Britney Shaves Head” post? If you blog has a niche, it can be tough to keep up with posting every day. One thing that I have done in the past is keep an eye on Google Trends (www.google.com/trends).
Google Trends keeps an eye on the latest searches that are piling up on the internet. Updated every 15 minutes or so, you can catch the latest searched topics quite easily. I have used this tactic in the past to catch key news items or tech items for my HiTech Blogger blog. If you don’t see anything relevant to your blog in the TOP 20, don’t worry, you can look into the TOP 100 also. Even if you find something in the 100th position, there are still more searches for that topic than most other topics on your blog to begin with.
It may not be very good traffic, but it is targeted without a doubt. Here is the list of the TOP 10 from when I made this post.
Today’s Hot Trends (USA)
1. von trapp family
2. 2008 nfl draft order
3. the sound of music
4. christopher plummer
5. jesus camp
6. kerry collins
7. charmian carr
8. kleinfeld
9. danica patrick
10. petrosun
These topics are highly likely to get you some traffic. You cannot count on it however, because some of the time these topics hit peak and drop quickly (example: news items). Something like the 2008 NFL Draft Order might stay high for a day or two, but not much longer after that.
Always keep your eyes peeled for ways to get traffic to your blog. It’s more important to get traffic than it is to get PR (page rank). I know I am going to catch flack for that, but I hate how Google is controlling the entire internet, especially web advertising, with the emphasis put on PR. Either way, it’s just my feelings on the whole thing since this blog was b*tchslapped a couple of months ago to a PR0!
Who Wants FREE Stuff?
Would you like to get a FREE tshirt? We have partnered up with XM Radio through our ecommerce site and would like to give away XM Radio Tshirts after the first of the year. I will post again after the 1st to let you know what you have to do to get one, trust me, it won’t be much. But in the meantime you might want to subscribe to my feed so you don’t miss any posts.
Auction Site Worth the Cause
There are plenty of auction sites all over the internet. Reverse auction, eBay.com (of course), live auctions and $1 no reserve auctions by Bidz.com. Those are just a couple of the 1,000′s of privately owned and operated auction sites online today. PHP scripts and coders have given the ability to own an auction site to just about anyone willing to pay a couple hundred for the script.
SilverTag.com is one auction site that is unique in that the LOWEST UNIQUE BID wins the auction. That’s right! The LOWEST bid that nobody else has entered could get you a flat screen TV or even a car. The best part of this auction site is that the proceeds (from buying “bid credits”) goes to a worthy cause. See more information about the charities they work with here.
What does Lowest Unique Bid mean?
SilverTag really could not be any easier. Who is the Lowest Unique Bidder?
The Lowest Unique Bidder is the member who has bid the lowest amount that no other person has bid. When people place the same bid, that bid has been duplicated and is no longer unique.
The auction site is sort of addicting so be aware of that flaw! Some auctions running now include: $100 Gift Card to Outback Steakhouse & Nintendo Wii!
