Bills.com: Great Debt Help Service

Sponsored by Bills.com

So many people these days are buried under tons of debt.  Most of the time, and the most likely, is credit card debt.  How do you get into credit card debt so quickly?  Think about it, you are spending money that you do not see or HAVE in your hands.  It’s a lot easier to spend more that way.
Right now, the average credit card balance is around $2000.  That is a lot and if you have more than one card, you might be in need of Debt consolidation. Credit card debt can be erased when you are determined to save and fix what you have already broken in the past. It can sneak up on you, so make sure you are watching EVERY penny.

Green Bay Packers Soap Opera

I used to be huge into football and that wasn’t really all that long ago.  I am a Packers fan and have been since I knew what football was.  I live in Wisconsin, so you can imagine what the headlines are screaming about every day for the last month.

The Packers are doing the right thing by hanging on to Brett Farve.  Why wouldn’t he still be worth something?  Why would any team owner just release a 5 star player like Farve wanted?  I think that Brett is really starting to look like an idiot with all of this.  Why is it so hard to stay away after going out with a bang?

What are your thoughts?  If you are not from Wisconsin, I understand your lack of concern :)

Open Cisco Certification Creates Better Employment Opps

Sponsored by Cisco
I think that getting into any type of IT job these days is where the money and stability is at.  Any job related to computer work, installation, troubleshooting or “help desking” will always be a stable type of job that you can get in just about any city in the world.  I think it’s very important to have a fall back career.  Right now, I work in a factory and LOVE computers.  I am online a lot, know my way around computers without even looking at them and still think I should get some kind of certification in a computer related career.

With the Cisco Learning Network, you can learn and work towards your certification.  Joining the community:

“Participate in exciting conversations about advancing your career, and discover more about the future of networking technology.”

Joining the network will help you to advance or get your new career going. Cisco certification will help you grow your career and gain successes you couldn’t otherwise get.  I haven’t been able to find the time to get into a certification class like this, but once it happens I will be in it 100%.  Why not do something that you enjoy, right?

I think that it’s a good idea to check out the website if you are interested in a career in IT at all.  The forums and community the networking has established can only help you to further your career.  I think some people might become nervous or realize they don’t know as much as they thought.  This can be a tough obstacle to overcome.  Being part of a network will help to ease your nerves, especially when you are networking with people in the same situation as yourself.

Tornado Rips Through East Central Wisconsin

Only being alive for just short of 30 years, I can still only count on ONE hand how many tornadoes have appeared in the county I live in.  The other night, was one of those days.

With a storm system cruising across the state of Wisconsin and the closer it got to Lake Michigan, that larger and more powerful it became.  The storm clouds were amazing and as I watched from the building where I work, I could see the danger it what was about to happen.

The sky had clouds under clouds, if you can follow me.  Stationary clouds were higher and large storm cells were forming all over the place.  Lighter, less dense clouds were flying in circles underneath the storm cells.  It didn’t take long to see what was going to happen.

Within 5 minutes everything changed.  When a “code black” is called over the intercom at work, it’s time to stop what you are doing and head for cover, well, that is exactly what I did, quickly.  As I looked back, I couldn’t see a damn thing outside as it was a dark as midnight, at 3:30pm CST.

Needless to say, a tornado hit the ground within 10 minutes after that and continued on a path of destruction for about 1 mile.  Nobody was injured and only a few buildings in the area suffered damage.  The major issue was the straight-line winds up to 70mph that toppled up to 75 trees throughout the area, as well as, landing many branches in peoples backyards.  The streets were littered with leaves and small twigs and power lines were down all over the place.

Fun day, missed all the action being inside under cover, but it turned out good in the end.  At least it was something to write about!
