Adtoll Ad on Shoemoney.com + Banner Blindness = 1 click
Recently, I had an ad for my MusicRawks.com website put on Shoemoney.com. The ad isn’t extremely attractive, but gets the point across. When Shoe did the post about putting Adtoll.com on his blog, I raced to Adtoll and bought a ONE WEEK 125×125 ad from him.
Granted, the ad placement was a bit low the sidebar, but it’s on Shoemoney.com nonetheless, right? I wasn’t thinking that I was going to get 10,000 clicks or anything, but it may have been pretty cool to get more than ONE.
Adtoll was on this blog for about one month and I didn’t get any advertisements (at .40/week), so I have decided to pull the ad boxes they provide. Currently I can make a little more than that per week with ProjectWonderful.com ad boxes.
Was it really banner blindness? Are Shoe’s readers non-clickers? Do they even like music?
All of these things play a factor, I guess I was just too excited to have my ad on a big blog for $20/week (which I think is minor cost). Either way it was sort of fun to be able to see my ad on his sidebar even if I didn’t get any visitors from it.
Have you had any success with Adtoll.com advertising?

I had an ad on there for a month for TUK and had 100 or so uniques… tbh, a guest post would have been better.
Still, worth it… you can always say you advertised on Shoemoney, eh?

Yeah, that’s about all I have to show for that, but like I said, it was kinda fun to get a spot.
