Average Time on Site Doesn’t Look Good

With the 6 month anniversary post right around the corner, I decided to look a little closer at some important stats on my blog.  One of the first I noticed was the “average time on site” stats that are reported by Google Analytics.

The above picture is actually for 6 months!  That is not good and concerns me only a little.  I know that you are probably asking yourself, only a little, but I blame it mostly on the CallYourPlay.com post that created traffic for me, but it wasn’t sticking around long.

I am not really sure that I can write well enough to keep readers attention.  Maybe I will just have to write better titles or longer, more in depth posts.

What tactics have you used to keep your readers reading?

  1. Awwwieee – the worrdds – they hurrrrts us!

Try using more images. A picture is worth a thousand words and you only need a few to describe the picture. (just make sure they are ultra acurate and extremely descriptive!)

Besides – if you posts have images you get those ranked seperately in googles image search engine too. Theres a tip of the day i’d say!
