ESPN is teaming up with Mountain Dew in the latest contest that involves contest lovers buying Mountain Dew products for the codes and entering them at http://www.espn.com/dietdew. The contest just started and you have plenty of time to enter as it runs until April 19th of this year. Simply run out to your favorite store that is stocked with Mountain Dew and buy specially marked bottles or 12-packs of the soda to gain access to the codes needed to enter.

Once you have your codes, you can go to the web site and enter the codes for your chance to WIN a prize a minute throughout every weekend until the promotion is over.

The web site has the following prices listed:

JERSEY – $45
HOODIE – $40

ESPN GIFT CARD – $50

Weekly drawings will be made on a scheduled basis and based on the information you can find on the contest official rules page.

Weekly Prize Winner Selection: Potential Weekly Prize winners will be selected in (34,560) individual random drawings (one (1) drawing will be conducted per minute for each Weekend Drawing Date of the Promotion Period to select a total of (4,320) winners per Entry Period). Each Entry Period listed above will begin at 12:00AM ET and conclude at 11:59PM ET, with the exception of the first week which will begin at 12:00PM (noon) ET. Non-winning entries received for any given Entry Period will not carry forward to or be included in subsequent Entry Periods. Drawings will be conducted by Sponsor. Odds of winning a Weekly Prize will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Weekly Entry Period. GetOnTheShelf.com Walmart American Idol-like Contest for Entrepreneurs

Looks like Wal-Mart.com might be the next best place to get the publicity that you are craving for your new product. Can’t seem to get the amount of sales that you hoped for when you invented your first gadget? Wal-Mart might be able to help with that as they announce today they are running a contest to help inventors and entrepreneurs get virtual shelf space at Walmart.com.

The contest, called “Get on the Shelf”, will be run similar to American Idol. The top products will be voted on by the public, at GetontheShelf.com and the top voted product will get “shelf” space on the largest retailers website. Having a contest like this is pretty much opposite of how Wal-Mart typically picks products for their stores. Giving product owners just one hour to wow the Wal-Mart buyers and give reasons why their product would be bought by shoppers.

“For a long time, the ability to get a product into a retail store was at the sole discretion of the store buyer,” said Venky Harinarayan, senior vice president of Wal-Mart’s global e-commerce unit. ”Today we are removing these barriers by giving anyone the chance to launch their product at Wal-Mart and reach millions of shoppers nationwide,” he said. Any resident of the United States that would like to get their product on the Walmart.com website should submit their product by Feb. 22nd. The first round of public voting will go from March 7th to April 4th and will narrow the field down to 10 finalists. The second round of voting will go from April 11th to April 24th to determine the top three winners.

From that point Wal-Mart will offer assistance that is needed with production, etc in order to get the amount of stocked merchandise the website could potentially sell. After the initial offering, Wal-Mart will decide whether or not the product will be sold on the Wal-Mart website again.

I have a template that has been sitting around a couple of months. I bought it at the Digital Point forums and have been trying to learn how to code it to WordPress. Needless to say, I have way too many projects right now and haven’t been able to get very far in that process.

So, to my amazement, this post at the forums was right up my alley. It talks about a contest and the prize is a FREE psd to wordpress conversion to ONE winner. How much better can that get for me? I really need this new template for my affiliate marketing blog and it would be nice to revamp that blog for the new year!

A couple of weeks ago I was chosen to receive free stuff from FoneGear.com. Basically, I am to try out the order process on their site, get the products and write up this post about the whole experience.

Well, for starters I would like to say thanks to FoneGear.com for the rad items. Secondly, I must say the site is super easy to use and the product selection is nice. I was eye-balling the NFL cell phone cases, right now they are 20% off. They offer NASCAR Sprint Cup products, cell phone cases sporting your favorite college teams, also chargers and other accessories.

The picture below shows a laptop case with the Ohio State colors, leather GPS case for my GPS and a 100% hemp cell phone case for my phone.
