Are You Watching The Super Bowl?
Of course I am watching the Super Bowl, of course I wish the commercials were gone and the halftime show was JUST a review of the first half stats, but you cannot have everything.
I am pulling for the Saints (+6) and I think they have a great shot at getting this win under their belt. That way when next season starts they can keep the streak alive. The Saints are full of weapons and I think are less likely to cause a game ending mistake ala Green Bay Packers.
I think it will be a high scoring game and the team that keeps from turning the ball over will win in the end. Of course, like I said to most of my co-workers, if BOTH defenses show up in the same game, it could be low scoring. The defenses have been so flip-floppy throughout the season that I just think it will be touchdown after touchdown.
With a spread of only 6 and an over/under of 57 I think that even Vegas knows this game will be worth watching and possibly even betting on. I placed two bets with co-workers that think the Colts will win, BUT they also have the COLTS in a Super Bowl pool, so you know how that goes. If they bet with their team, they must be closer to winning the pool, lol.
Remember Centsports? You Can Bet on Sports, Free to Join
A little while ago I made a post about how I could bet on sports even though I live in the USA. If you didn’t know, you are not allowed to bet on sports online if you live in teh USA. But I found a site that is FREE to join, you can bet on a number of sports AND you can cash out if your balance reaches $20.
How could that be possible you ask? I put NO money down and I can cash out real money in the end? Yes you can! The site is paid for by adverisers and the bets are paid out from the sites ad revenue.
Now that you have it figured out, I just wanted to post a quick note about how I have been doing. For the last week or so, my balance has been going up and down pretty drastically. I had a high of about $9.08 and a within a couple days, was right back down to $1.00! The site is completely addicting and can be fun, when you are winning, of course.
So, I have decided to take a statistical approach to the whole betting thing and just try to pick ONE winner. There are about 15 different sports to bet on per day, there has to be ONE sure shot, right? LOL – I know, I must be crazy, but that is how I got my balance up to $9+ in the first place. I could always bet on Tennis and it was easy to see the “lock”. The ranked players would typically beat the “no-namers”, so I would toss most of my balance at that match and cross my fingers.
Needless to say, there have been some upsets this year, so it’s not ALL fun a games. If you like to bet on sports, this website is something you should check out for sure! You will NOT be disappointed. You can setup your free account here.
Brewers Ending Their Season on a High Note
The Milwaukee Brewers were cruising along this season and it really seemed like they were trying to make another run at the playoffs this year. Then the All-Star game came along and everything went South.
Since the All-Star break they have been getting their butts kicked in just about every single game, right around the 5th inning. If their opponents didn’t already score 4-5 runs by the 5th inning, they were about to. The pitching staff was 75% terrible and couldn’t throw more than 90 pitches a game without giving up runs.
Well, low and behold, since the beginning of September the Brewers have decided they want to play some ball. Games where Prince, Casey or Ryan hit home runs are not that uncommon. The pitching still isn’t all that great, but the bats are working their magic and Fielder has broken some records for the Brewers because of it!
It’s nice to see them win against teams like the Phillies, Houston and the Cubs, but it would have been nice to see the wins about 2 months ago. Oh well, maybe next year.
WaiverWire.com Has All Your Fantasy Football Stats

Fantasy football drafts are happening all over the web as we speak. People are reading about the hottest players, who is injured in the pre-season game, or practice, and what thugs not to pick because of their behavior outside of the game.
WaiverWireis a nice system where you can get all the latest news and stats on your favorite players. I just had ONE of my fantasy drafts this week and my top 3 picks were Payton Manning, Randy Moss and Chad Ochocinco.
I didn’t really think that I would be able to draft any of these players, but was happy that I got these 3. Payton Manning of the Colts should be strong all season long. Randy Moss of the New England Patriots, although I am afraid he will mess something up, is always good for a touchdown or two in a game. Same with Chad Ochocinco, of the Cincinnati Bengals, he is a player that always performs and will hopefully get me points, week after week.
You can sign up for the “Stimulus Package” at WaiverWire.com for free. There you will be able to get all the stats and new that you need to help make a decision on your fantasy team this year.
