New Gift Card Raffle Facebook Application

I would just like to take one minute to let you know about a new application we have on Facebook. It’s called Raffle Time and we are using it to raffle off gift cards from various online and retail stores. Right now, you can get a gift card for Mafia Wars, FarmVille, iTunes and Amazon.com. The more raffles that are completed the more variety gift cards will be added.

How Raffle Time Works

It is quite simple. You are asked to give permission to our app, so we can use your name, profile picture and you allow us to post to your wall. This will also allow us to contact you if you are the winner. The app is setup so that you do not have to use any of your own money to buy the tickets. Doing surveys and completing offers will give you tickets and the app will keep track of all this information for you. Once you have tickets you can enter them in any of the open raffles. Raffles last until there is 75 tickets entered and a winner is chosen automatically and notified via email (that is why you should update that info right away!).

Once you add our app, you are able to update your email address under “Account Info”, there you can also add your cell phone number if you wish to be notified via text if you won. The it’s time to earn some raffle tickets. You can do this a couple of different ways, but the most popular is going to be doing short market research surveys. Some of these can get you up to 5 tickets for the raffles. Surveys or offers that require a bit more of your time will get you more tickets.

Inviting your friends is another easy way to get free tickets for the raffle. Invite 5 of your friends and get another free ticket. You can get one free ticket for every 5 friends you invite to the app.

Another way, which you can see on the Earn Tickets page, is to become a fan of our app, bookmark our app and enable wall publishing for our app. All of those things will get you 1 free ticket and that is even before you have to fill out a survey.

So, you can get 2 FREE tickets for helping us out and 1 FREE ticket for every 5 friends you invite. You don’t even really ever have to do surveys, depending on how many friends you have, and you can enter raffles with your free tickets. I think that is a sweet deal! We also have a daily guessing game you can try. All that you have to do is guess a number between 1 and 10 and you can get a FREE ticket. That is a possibility of 4 FREE tickets the first day you visit our Raffle Time Facebook application!

You can also view our profile on Facebook here. From there you can post to our wall, share with your friends or go right to the app and start earning tickets.

Pepsi Caps for Caps Sweepstakes – Match 3 Caps & Win!

With one trip to the store this week, I see those beautiful yellow caps on the Pepsi soda bottles again. That means that Pepsi is running some sort of contest or sweepstakes and those caps have something to do with it. I love this time of year!

Contest Begins May 16th and ends August 7th

This time around, the contest is the Pepsi MLB “Caps for Caps” contest. Basically, each yellow cap has an MLB team name on the inside of it and you have to match 3 caps to win an officially licensed MLB cap of your choice. The rules are quite simple and the official rules are located here.

All you have to do is look under the bottle cap (“game piece”) of specially–marked 20–ounce bottles of Pepsi®, Diet Pepsi®, Pepsi Max®, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi®, Pepsi Wild Cherry®, and Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry®, while supplies last. Match up three team names and send those caps into Pepsi for your FREE MLB cap.

With over 1.8 million caps with each team name being released into the stores, your odds of winning a cap are a small 1 in 30! Those are pretty good odds and if you do not like Pepsi, you can simple send a stamped envelope to Pepsi (see official rules for address) and they will send one piece PER envelope. So for 3 stamps you could take your chances and see if you win a cap without even buying any soda!

Check eBay for caps! Many will sell multiple sets CHEAP!!

Not a bad deal since that retail value of the caps are $14.95 and you could win one for a mere $1.26 in stamps. Your cap could also be worth a 15% off $50 purchase at MLB.com, so make sure you look closely at the caps!

I usually team up with a big soda drinker and let them collect caps for me. Most people don’t care or take the time to enter these contests. I won many products and prizes from Pepsi’s previous contests. You can read more about them at the links below.

If you haven’t already, make sure that you submit your vote for the next Old Navy SuperModelQuin! The contest, which started in Feb. of this year, is ending tonight right before midnight. The 3 finalists are posted at www.iwannabesuper.com so you can check out the bios there and vote for your favorite!

The contest currently has over 20,000 votes and that means there are a ton of shoppers that are NOT voting. You have the power to choose the next supermodelquin and see how will take home the $100,000 grand prize. Don’t forget the winner will also be made into a modern store “modelquin”.

Old Navy has been holding these contests for the last couple of years and it’s always interesting to see who wins and how their image is transformed into a supermodelquin. I like to shop at Old Navy and generally buy quite a bit when I am there. I think this type of contest is a good way to drum up awareness of the brand and get people talking about the company and Old Navy doesn’t really have to spend all that much. I am sure the cost to run the contest is cheaper than other marketing promotions they currently manage.

I love to eat salad and since I am a vegetarian, salad has become a large part of my diet. Fresh lettuce, tomato, cheese, radish, egg and cucumber make the perfect salad in my opinion.

When I am not in a rush, I like to cut up my own lettuce and make it as fresh as possible, but when there is little time to prepare, or I am going on a picnic, I like to take a look at the bag salads. Having a bunch of options in one bag, is nice for when you don’t have to time cut, slice and prepare every little part of your salad.

At my local grocery store, I have a couple different bag options, but I have noticed that Fresh Express has been the best so far. When I say the best, I meant the freshest lettuce and when there is some left over, it seems to keep better than other brands that I have tried.

It’s simple really, just sign up at the Snickers Snackonomics website and you can enter codes that you find in your Snickers candy bar wrappers. Signing up is FREE to every one over the age of 18 and the prizes are pretty sweet. For now, the official rules can be found here.

How to Play

Type in your code where prompted and click submit. You will receive an on-screen message telling you the result of entering your code. Once you collect all of the letters that complete one of the words that appear on the right side of the screen, you win the prize associated with the word (subject to verification of eligibility).

How Long Do I Have?

The contest begins on Jan. 4th, 2010 and ends before NOON on March 31st, 2010. So that gives you about 4 months to get your codes together and see what happens.

Tips for Getting Codes

There are two places you can get the codes and that is on the regular size candy bars and King SIZE candy bars. The

first thing that I do in sweepstakes like this is ask my family members if they use the products that have the codes and if they could save the codes for me. In my family, I am getting codes all the time because they know that I blog about stuff like this too. The other thing I do to collect codes is ask the people that I work with. Most places have vending machines and almost all of them have Snickers in them. If you see someone buying the bar, just ask them nicely if you can have the wrapper. If they give you some grief, just say your nephew is collecting them because he saw the sweepstakes on tv.

You can also look online for codes. These types of sweepstakes are pretty hot these days and finding codes online has become more common. Just search GOOGLE for the codes and you’ll be amazed at how many sites you have to choose from.

Recently, I was given the chance to use the fantastic Nutella on a peanut butter and banana sandwhich a certain someone made for me. I must say that Nutella is so creamy and good that I will have it on most of my sandwhiches from this point forward.

What a great product and if you read the nutritionals (200 calories, 11 fat and 1 fiber in 2 tbsp.) it is a bit healthier than peanut butter itself. The spread is made from over 50 hazelnuts per 13 oz. Jar, No Artificial Colors, No Artificial Preservatives, as well as, sugar, modified palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk, reduced minerals whey (from milk), soy lecithin: an emulsifier, vanillin: an artificial flavor.
