It really appears that Charter is trying to whooo some new customers into it’s bundle system.  Take a look at Charter’s Free Gift Card Sweepstakes page to see what I mean.  The promotion is going to last all month long and it’s quite easy to win.  There is NO purchase necessary and you can mix and match $500 gift cards to many brands.  There is a grand prize of $5,000 and weekly prizes of $1,000.

Any customer, current or new, that purchases a bundle in the month of May, will be entered in the contest and will get a gift card for $75 or $150, depending on the bundle they purchase.
