Green Bay Packers Could be in Hot Water

Just reading a short article in my local newspaper stating that the Green Bay Packers are under investigation for allegedly paying players for performance “bounties”.  What does that mean?  Well, the defensive line was offered $500 per person to keep the Vikings running back under 100 yards last week and this week offered the same to keep the Panthers under 60 yards rushing.  It worked during the Vikings game, but not the Panthers.

Head coach Mike McCarthy says that he has no knowledge of this going on and hasn’t had a chance to talk with General Manager Ted Thompson.  This is the first time I have ever heard of this happening in a professional sport.  Any one else like to chime in?
