Paranormal Hype
There are so many paranormal type shows on these days and I still can’t get enough. Today I would like to give my thoughts on the paranormal shows that I watch on a regular basis. I ordered them from the most to least watched by me.
Ghosthunters
This is the show that I have been watching the longest. I like the style of the show, minus some drama, and the way the investigators handle everything. The investigators on this show seem to try and “debunk” noises and shadows. Almost to the point that it seems they would rather tell you your home is NOT haunted. Some nice equipment as well. They use multiple cameras, a DVR system with multiple IR cameras, digital recorders, magnetic field equipment and thermal-imaging cameras. I would say that of all the shows that actually follow investigators around with their equipment, Ghosthunters is the best one.
Dead Famous
On this show, they are looking for famous ghosts, like Elvis, Buddy Holly and Charlie Chaplin to name a few. I am entertained by this show, featuring a “sensitive” and a sceptic. They each have their own video cameras and one digital recorder for EVP’s. The sensitive gets “possessed” with spirits as he channels and the sceptic gets scared by every little noise or shadow. They argue about what’s real and what is not, but over all I think they do a nice job in the end. They travel to many places and investigate many locations for the same ghosts, which is nice and it seems they put a lot of time and effort into finding who they are looking for.
Most Haunted
This show is ok. There are too many people wondering around on “set”, but the psychic or sensitives have been getting better. I can go without the possession though. The places they investigate are usually 100′s of years old and there is no doubt they are haunted. They regularly call out and get responses, but with all the people milling around, you can never be sure as to what you are seeing on tv. That’s the reason this one is at number 3.
Haunted History
This show is nice and informative, but only has re-enactments, no real time ghost hunting. The stories are short and entertaining, but it lacks something the other shows don’t.
A Haunting
Similar to Haunted History in that it stages re-enactments and “tells” the people’s stories. The stories deal more with demons and poltergeists, than just plain ghosts. Entertaining, although, most of the stories are the same.
What shows are you able to watch about paranormal? Not just ghosts and hauntings remember, paranormal is anything that is NOT normal
