Prince is Pissed, no he didn’t change his name
Pop singer, Prince, or as we used to know him, the artist formerly known as Prince, is pissed of at YouTube.com, eBay and Pirate Bay. Noting that filter systems put into place to filter out copyrighted material are not working properly. Prince is upset that the internet has become a dumping ground for unauthorized use of material. Yea, well what are you going to do about it? Oh yeah, that’s right, file a lawsuit. Well, every Tom, Dick and Harry that know how to upload a video are going to have to be talked to. Or the websites that show the content, at least. The anti-piracy company, Web Sheriff, has decided it’t time to take back the internet.
“99% of the stuff online is totally unauthorised,” said Web Sheriff managing director John Giuacobbi. “Someone has to start somewhere and we know this will make a serious impact – a hell of a lot of artists are going to follow suit. We have to build a 21st century model for the entertainment industry.”
Yeah it will make an impact, but do you know what kind of business “pirated” copyright
material is? It’s huge, people sit around all day trying to find ways to copy something they shouldn’t a resell it. Those types of people will find a way around a lot of things to get what they want. But who knows, hold someone accountable and we’ll see what happens.
