Spend Time on Your Content
What happens to your blog when you don’t spend time on your content? Well, for starters you end up with a Avg. Time on Site of about 1 minute, just like me. Yea, as hard as it is to believe, apparently my content is NOT king and people don’t even stick around long enough to read ONE 250 word post.
It does concern me a little bit, because I put a lot of work into this blog. The problem? I think that I put more time into design, ad sales and promotion than I do into my content. I am looking through my Google Analytics now and I can tell I have some serious issues when the top 100 keywords do NOT include anything remotely close to “marketing”.
I know that is a broad term and I would like to be affiliated with affiliate, internet and general marketing as keywords. But what is the problem? Is my blog too personal? The domain sukosaki.info doesn’t exaclty scream out Affiliate Marketing does it?
I have thought about finding a domain that works, but I am really unsure of how I can transfer all of my information over without skipping a beat. If you have ever done this, maybe you can contact me and let me know how you pulled it off.
In the meantime, I think I am going to do some research on domain names and pick up a new one.

For the move of the blog, just point your new domain as you did with this and 301 redirect sukosaki.info to the new one. Search engines and visitors will be redirected to the exact URLs in the new domain, you may lose from the search engine results for a while though, but it gets back to normal in time. But seriously, better consider short, more rememberable (not like the current one) and .com this time…

Giving away the T’s is also a great way to promote your blog to build links. People may thank you by writing about you.

Don’t use .info, but .us is treated the same pretty much as .com. ….and with them you can still find some good names.
