Tivo Back in the Picture with Comcast Deal
If you don’t have a DVR unit, or Tivo, get into the “now” man. You need this if you want to skip commercials, who doesn’t, and watch only the shows you enjoy. Just reading through some news on Google.com, I see that Comcast and Tivo and reached a deal. Soon the cable company will be rolling out DVR systems with Tivo software. With over 24 million subscribers with Comcast, Tivo is going to get quite an addition to it’s 4 million subscribers. Tivo is one of the first companies to offer pause live TV option, but is really nothing without cable or satellite dish companies.
DVR’s are great and the boxes that come with cable companies are much cheaper than paying a couple hundred for Tivo + subscription fee/month on top of that. I have a DVR through Dish Network for only $5.98 per month and mine controls 2 television sets.
