This post is about working from home, full or part-time, to make extra money on the side of a regular job.  Most people love the thought of one day not having to work for another but themselves.  No boss, no time clock, just relaxing in the comfort of your own home and bringing in some extra cash.

Well, to most it’s just a dream, but to others, who work hard and appreciate failure, it is more than a dream. I started getting into the internet, websites ebay about 10 years ago or so. I started by purchasing matchbox cars in bulk for a decent price through a vendor that I found online. Once I got the box of cars I listed them on eBay. First one at a time, then a lot of 5 or even 25 to “resell”. Each time I listed I told the users that I had a wholesale connection, so if there were interested in these in bulk, email me for a price. Between selling these individually and in bulk I was able to make a car payment of $200 per month. At this point I was still living with my parents, but the dream was alive and I knew one day I would be making money online full time.

After my eBay stint I started thinking that I was going to ditch eBay for my own website to be able to offer more products to in more of a niche market. What did I pick you ask? Consumer Electronics of course :) Yes the market is flooded and all the “big boys” are hitting this one hard, but I was going with it anyways because I knew electronics myself. It took me 5 years to get my website the way I wanted and all the products listed just so. Then I has some ideas for making it better. That’s the best thing about being on my own, I can do what I want when I want :)

So, here I am in the straight away of my website career and still making changes, but the money out there and I wouldn’t be writting about if it wasn’t. So, if you are thinking about diving right in, go for it! Don’t hesitate, if you always do what you always did, then you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
