Extreme Paranormal – New TV Show on A&E
This week, I watched the first couple of episodes of a new show called “Extreme Paranormal”. The show airs on A&E and it seems to follow in the footsteps of Paranormal State. The show includes 3 men that have experience in the paranormal and, apparently, their own radio show.

The first episode included a lot of provoking, ritualistic scenes and SOME, only some, evidence. I don’t mind their approach, but the drama of the “story” is carried out way too much with this show. Paranormal State is similar in my opinion, in that, the story is focused on a lot more than actually getting the holy grail, evidence.
Trying to provoke a spirit is nothing new, can get out of hand, but is also a good way to get activity in front of the camera. These guys take it one EXTREME step further and put themselves in ritualistic situations to try and conjure up what dead might still be around. The one thing that bothered me right out of the gate is that once there is evidence, it is AUTOMATICALLY the person in the story, haunting them. Why can’t it be old Grandma Jenkins from down the block?
The second episode that I watched included some voodoo rituals, which they cut out of the show for “our protection”, and some conjuring to the tune of burying a guy in a coffin and playing some voodoo songs. LOL The show seems to have a decent direction, at least in the first two episodes, but I am not confident that it will be able to keep an audience for very long.
Will the show prove me wrong?

No joke they only aired about 3 episodes. As great as Ghost Lab or the new one with cops. There are way too many retarded ones out there because it’s not about catching ghosts anymore with people that actually have an interest, it’s about getting on TV.
Thanks for the comment. I would have to agree 100% and it is too bad that just wanting to be on TV has ruined the ghost hunting “hobby”.
I dont think they make tv shows like they used to. Back when I was younger, it seems like programs were more family or comedy based, it just doesn’t seem the same anymore.
