Do You Own a Saltwater Aquarium?
I own a 90 gallon fresh water fish tank. It is quite an upgrade from the 55 gallon that I had owned previously. It may not seem like much, but with almost 40 more gallons of water, the equipment needed changes immediately. I always wanted to get a salt water aquarium but thought that the upkeep would be more expensive than fresh water.
Well, I think that I have been proven wrong. My fiance’s cousin has a 30 gallon and he said that it seemed easier then fresh water upkeep for him. So, I thought, ok, I will take a look at some of the saltwater aquarium supplies and compare the type of equipment with the cost to run a fresh water tank. You know what I found? The salt water tank almost seems much easier. It almost seems as though the tank keeps itself more clean naturally, than a fresh water setup.
Knowing this, I think I might be asking for a saltwater tank for Christmas or maybe a gift card to pay for some of the supplies. I always liked how much more colorful the fish were and the cool tanks that I have seen online are just amazing. I don’t need anything larger than 20-30 gallons, just something to cure my cravings I guess you could say.
