Brewers Ending Their Season on a High Note
The Milwaukee Brewers were cruising along this season and it really seemed like they were trying to make another run at the playoffs this year. Then the All-Star game came along and everything went South.
Since the All-Star break they have been getting their butts kicked in just about every single game, right around the 5th inning. If their opponents didn’t already score 4-5 runs by the 5th inning, they were about to. The pitching staff was 75% terrible and couldn’t throw more than 90 pitches a game without giving up runs.
Well, low and behold, since the beginning of September the Brewers have decided they want to play some ball. Games where Prince, Casey or Ryan hit home runs are not that uncommon. The pitching still isn’t all that great, but the bats are working their magic and Fielder has broken some records for the Brewers because of it!
It’s nice to see them win against teams like the Phillies, Houston and the Cubs, but it would have been nice to see the wins about 2 months ago. Oh well, maybe next year.
