OldSchoolorNew.com – Review + My 2 Cents

By the way, just so you know, if you like Adidas you can vote for them and participate to Win a $750 Gift Card for Champs, Sports Authority and more!

Since I have been putting up small reviews of the latest Pepsi promotions, I thought I would follow suit with the newest, known as OldSchoolOrNew.com.  I was somewhat excited to see the caps on my Mountain Dew change color after thinking “why would Pepsi not have a promo for BOTH sodas?”.

So, the Mountian Dew caps changed to green and a new promotion was born.  OldSchoolOrNew.com is another type of promtion where you enter the code from under your cap on the website.  From there you can try your luck to win some cool prizes.  This time around, which I think is pretty neat, they offer prizes from the Old School and the New.

Prizes for old school include a Classic Arcade Game, Adidas Superstars Shoes or a Vintage Corvette.  On the flip side, prizes for the new school, which match up with the old school, include, an XBox 360 & TV, Adidas Response 16 Shoes, or a 2009 Chevy Corvette.

It’s kind of a neat setup, but the “games” aren’t anything to get excited over.  At least with CallYourPlay.com you got to at least watch a football play.  With OldSchoolornew.com, you basically will pick what prize you are trying for and watch a little flash episode.  Within 5-10 seconds you know that you are the loser, or winner, if you could get so lucky.

I wouldn’t mind the smaller prizes of course, but I can’t help but mention that I liked the way Pepsistuff.com is setup.  At least there it feels like you might get some of your money back for buying tons of soda, when you can purchase something on Amazon.com with your points.

I haven’t won anything with this promotion, but I do have a bunch of people that drink the soda that don’t mind collecting caps for me :)  which is nice.  The other thing that is nice about things like this is that you can almost always find an eBay auction actually selling un-entered caps.  Most promotions like this will limit the amount that you can enter, so people will put the rest on eBay to maybe recoup some fo the cost they incurred buying soda for months.

I have played the Mt. Dew caps 400 times and have won nothing. Have you heard of anyone that has won.

  2. sukosaki says:

Yes sir. I recently won a pair of old school adidas shows, just shipped today :) Keep trying, but spread your caps out, you only get 500 total plays.

I won a pair of Adidas Superstars 2 but I haven’t received the winning confirmation email with instructions on how to claim them. I have tried using their ‘contact us’ support button but they are just computerized responses that do not help. Anyone have any ideas on how to get a real person? It has been 6 days now. At least when I won on the pepsi call your play game I actually got the prizes.

This happened to me too. I emailed them and made sure my spam filter wasn’t grabbing the email. Within an hour or so of emailing them, I got a reply with confirmation.

Keep trying and good luck! I won the old school shoes and went through the same thing.

I just won a pair of response shoes. I won on the 127th cap entered.

Awesome, thanks for the comment!! This contest ends soon, so make sure you get your codes in.

Don’t bother anymore…. The website will only tell you that all the Corvettes have been won, but in actuality all the 8271 instant prizes have been given away. I was told it was a ‘daily win’ sweepstakes when I emailed the customer service department. Although the game is not over until tomorrow, you will be wasting your time….. of course, unless you want to maybe win a $10.00 cap. It seems very shady that they will let you continue to try to win prizes that are not even available.

If you need to contact them, you can call them at 888.745.3825 regarding prizes, questions, complaints, etc.

I would like to tell everyone that I won the Dale Earnhart jr. racing package(NEW SCHOOL).It includes a garage size mini fridge with Dale Earnhart jr on it,a replica racing car,a replica hood, and a cap.I won it in late June, but i just recceived it yesterday, after the promotion ended.I kind of expected them to do it that way.I wouldn’t have minded possible using it for our 4th of July party, but since you don’t actually pay any postage to play,it’s not so bad.Fridge is about 4 or 5 20 ounce bottles tall–i haven’t opened it yet,but in my experience the box is way bigger than the item.hang in there guys–the shoes are a lot less expensive and were won by a lot more people,so they could be distributing them by region. And congratulations on ypur wins!
