Pepsi Caps for Caps Sweepstakes – Match 3 Caps & Win!
With one trip to the store this week, I see those beautiful yellow caps on the Pepsi soda bottles again. That means that Pepsi is running some sort of contest or sweepstakes and those caps have something to do with it. I love this time of year!
Contest Begins May 16th and ends August 7th
This time around, the contest is the Pepsi MLB “Caps for Caps” contest. Basically, each yellow cap has an MLB team name on the inside of it and you have to match 3 caps to win an officially licensed MLB cap of your choice. The rules are quite simple and the official rules are located here.
All you have to do is look under the bottle cap (“game piece”) of specially–marked 20–ounce bottles of Pepsi®, Diet Pepsi®, Pepsi Max®, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi®, Pepsi Wild Cherry®, and Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry®, while supplies last. Match up three team names and send those caps into Pepsi for your FREE MLB cap.
With over 1.8 million caps with each team name being released into the stores, your odds of winning a cap are a small 1 in 30! Those are pretty good odds and if you do not like Pepsi, you can simple send a stamped envelope to Pepsi (see official rules for address) and they will send one piece PER envelope. So for 3 stamps you could take your chances and see if you win a cap without even buying any soda!
Check eBay for caps! Many will sell multiple sets CHEAP!!
Right now you can get up to 10 hats (30 caps) on eBay.com for under $5 with shipping! You will have to send the caps in with different addresses, but it’s still 10 $15 baseball hats for under $5!!
Not a bad deal since that retail value of the caps are $14.95 and you could win one for a mere $1.26 in stamps. Your cap could also be worth a 15% off $50 purchase at MLB.com, so make sure you look closely at the caps!
I usually team up with a big soda drinker and let them collect caps for me. Most people don’t care or take the time to enter these contests. I won many products and prizes from Pepsi’s previous contests. You can read more about them at the links below.

We all know that playing these sweepstakes is simple, but I thought I would outline the steps that could lead you to a brand new Xbox system or even a round trip package to Harrah’s! Basically, you will be purchasing a Pepsi item and under the cap will be a 12-digit code you can enter here. You can get the codes from specially-marked 20-oz and 1-liter bottles of Pepsi, as well as, 32 and 44-oz fountain cups.
That would be the easiest way for anyone with computer/internet access to enter. But that isn’t the only way to go. You can also “Play-on-the-go”. That’s right, everyone has a cell phone and most of them have web access. All you have to do is text message your code to PEPSI (73774), register your mobile device and you are all set.
