ConFicker Worm = Lights Out!
Well, not really. The “worm” is supposed to be released at midnight April 1st and cause all kinds of havoc throughout the interweb land. I just don’t see it happening. And why are you all concerned over ONE worm? Throughout the year, worms and viruses are released all the time and nobody makes a big deal out of them until their computer is crashing every day.
So, now the news is picking up on this hub-bub about the ConFicker Worm and the whole internet population must watch out!?! What happened to Y2K? Exactly, get all the hype and hoopla out there and cause a big stir (anti-virus software sales are up for sure) and watch that nothing really happens.

At least, nothing that is more of a big deal that Adaware or MalwareBytes software can detect. Yahoo reported there was ways to protect yourself, which included FREE downloadable software! If this thing is such a big deal, then why is a FREE anti-virus software enough protection?
I rest my case, see you tomorrow, or not
UniBlue Will Remove Virus08 and Clean Up Your Registry
Recently I had to deal with a virus on computer #2 in my office. It was downloaded via an eCard that was sent to my fiance’s email address.
The virus kept popping up that I had to get my registry fixed and the spyware removed from my computer. I knew about things like this, but after little research on Google, I noticed this was targeted towards Vista users. Since I did NOT upgrade, it sucked that I was still affected. Nonetheless, I had to find a way to get it removed, because it was using up resources, running apps in the background all day long and really slowing things down for me.
Uniblue has software that can help you. Just download the FREE version and watch it go through 3 simple steps to clean up your registry, give your computer a speed boost and take the Spyware off without a problem. You can get a free scan to see what is affecting your computer, but you may have to pay to have more than 15 items removed.
At least if you know where to look, you can remove some of these items yourself. Most of the time you will not have “access” to the file because it is running in the background. With some quick action you can get those files “turned off” and deleted from the system32 folder quickly. Once this is done, you will see that you can go ahead with the rest of the scanning and removing.
