ChatRoulette.com Fun With Screenshots, Boring Without
Have you ever been to ChatRoulette.com? It’s have been in the news quite a bit lately as just another place to waste your day away online. Basically, you setup your webcam and connect to the site. Once you are setup, you can then “start a new game” and view others webcams.
The catch is that you do NOT know who’s webcam you will be viewing. You can stop recording, or switch “strangers” anytime that you want. Just like a game of Russian Roulette, you will NEVER know what’s on the other side. You also cannot ever find who you were chatting with UNLESS you were able to exchange an email or contact info.
It might take you about 10 minutes to find anyone to chat with, but even then, your chat will be short and boring. Today, I was on the site for about an hour just grabbing screenshots for this post. You wouldn’t believe the crap that I saw.
Mostly just guys or girls just sitting there staring at the screen trying to figure the site out, but then you throw in a couple of naked dudes and the occasional guy “rubbing” himself. The site is useless, unless you have all day to sit on it, but even then you will not get any good chat out of it.
Even after doing a quick Google search for chats and screenshots, I didn’t really find anyone posting anything worth while.
Good luck on the site and remember that if you don’t have a cam, you can still view others, but the session will be even shorter! Here is a link to some ChatRoulette screenshots.
Have You Seen Reddit.com? Plenty of Time To Waste
Reddit.com is a compilation of images, websites, videos and more (similar to Digg.com) and just so you know, you WILL waste most of your day there if you are not careful.

The site is very easy to use and you can vote for your favorites very easily. The more votes a topic gets, the higher up the chain it climbs, thus yielding the topic more views. It is a great traffic generator, but let it be known that the topics are interesting. You cannot just add any old item to the site and expect to see 1,000′s of visitors. The community on the site expects to see the best of the best.
That is why you see clips from Youtube, Craiglists ads, weird eBay auctions, funny pics and content from Failblog.org is perfect for the site. If you have seen Digg.com, then why not waste a little time on Reddit.com? The only thing about the site that I do not like is the sharing feature. I was hoping to quickly add a topic to my twitter account, but the only sharing option is via email, it’s so 1999.
Craigslist.org Spammers Get Cut Off – For Now
I am going to post on Craigslist today and I notice something a little different this time on the posting screen. It appears, in an effort to kill spammers, Craigslist has added a “captcha” for users to click in order to reply to a posting.
Although I think this is a great idea in theory, I am amazed that the people at Craigslist really think bots are doing ALL the spamming. In various forums you can find people posting to pay other, humans, to post/reply on the craigslist website. Exactly, the folks might have been banned or otherwise, but they are willing to PAY people to post/reply on the popular classified website.
I got to thinking about what the ROI was on something like this, but then I thought, who cares, if people are willing to spend money on something like that, they HAVE to be making their money back 10x over.
So, I give the programmers at Craigslist a pat on the back for moving in the right direction, but I am not 100% convinced, it will solve the problem.
What do you think about the spammers on Craigslist?
Visit Branson, MO and Have a Great Time!

Summer months really make people want to get out and about the country on vacations. Places in the United States like Las Vegas, NV and Branson, MO are really entertainment capitals of the USA. Places like Branson usually receive awards for fine dining, great hotels and even better stage shows than anywhere else in the world.
Branson has one of the best hotels and convention centers in the country, Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotelhave everything that you need when you are staying in the great city of Branson. The hotel is on Lake Taneycomo and resides in the newest shopping and entertainment district. The convention center is directly across from the hotel making things extremely easy for the professionals traveling to the city for meetings and other entertainment.
I live in the Midwest and I would always travel to places closer to home than not, so places on the coasts just never really appealed to me. What I always heard about Branson is the shows are so full of entertainment and that really would draw me into a place like that. While staying in Branson, there are plenty of things to do nearby, like golf (3 miles), shop (within 3 miles) and go see the Theater District (within 5 miles).
I have never been to Branson myself, but I would really like it because I know I enjoy the types of things the city has to offer. Mostly wholesome family type entertainment and the attractions are just amazing. One thing that I would love to see is the Titanic Museum. I think there is so much history in that part of the country, everything would be worth the experience.
And don’t think that just because the hotel is in a tourist capital, you cannot get a deal. The Hilton has specials running all year long including 25% off from May 1st to September 30th, 2009. You can also get a 3rd night free when you buy 2 nights from June 1st to September 7th, 2009.
So like I said, there are plenty of reasons to go to Branson this summer, good places to stay, eat, visit and enjoy. Leave a comment below if you have travelled there and how was your vacation?
