Cruise Craigslist like a Pro
You’ve been to Craigslist.org and seen the 1,000′s of listings for everything from a wood chipper to personal ads. But did you know that you can get the listings on Craigslist via feed?
That’s right. Type in any search terms, min/max price, “in title only” and “with/without image” and click search. Once you see the results you are looking for, there is an RSS(?) at the very bottom of any search page on the site. Click that and you will be forwarded and able to subscribe to the feed of that specific search.
If you are like me
then you can use the built in “Favorite’s Center” in Microsoft Explorer 7. It appears on the left side of the “tab bar”. There is a yellow star and a yellow star with green + in it. That is the favorites center. By clicking either one of those, you can add any site to your favorites or see your history, feeds and favorites all at a glance. If you choose to subscribe via feed, this is where you will be able to see the search feed at any time.
When the feed “name” appears bold, that means there are NEW results for that search. Simply click the name of that search and you will be sent directly to Craigslist.org feed and the search results will automatically be there for you.
